Popular Questions
Everything you need to know before buying and using a SimToRoam eSIM
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM profile that can be installed on a compatible device without inserting a physical SIM card. It allows you to connect to supported mobile networks using a digital setup process.
How do I receive my eSIM?
Your eSIM is delivered digitally. Delivery is usually instant, although in normal circumstances it may take up to 5 minutes. Your eSIM details are normally sent by email, and may also be available through supported channels such as app, chat, WhatsApp or SMS.
Do I receive a physical SIM card?
No. SimToRoam products are digital telecommunications services. No physical SIM card is shipped.
Is my device compatible?
Your device must support eSIM technology and may need to be unlocked. Compatibility can vary by model, manufacturer, region and carrier settings.
How do I activate my eSIM?
After purchase, you install the eSIM using the QR code or instructions provided. Most plans activate when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in the covered destination.
When does my plan start?
This depends on the product. For many plans, validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in the destination covered by the plan.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds may be available before activation and before use. Once an eSIM has been installed, activated or used, a refund may no longer be available because this is a digital service.
What if I do not receive my eSIM?
Please check your inbox and spam or junk folders first. Allow a few minutes after payment is confirmed. If it still has not arrived, use the SimToRoam app or web chat and type help, or contact support.
Will coverage work everywhere?
Coverage depends on the destination, supported partner networks, your device, and local network conditions. Coverage is not guaranteed in every area.
Do I need data roaming turned on?
In many cases, yes. Some plans require data roaming to be enabled on the eSIM line so the device can connect to supported partner networks.
Can I install the eSIM more than once?
Some eSIMs can only be installed once and may not be transferable between devices. Always follow the installation instructions carefully and avoid deleting the eSIM unless you are sure.
What should I check before buying?
- your destination is covered
- your device supports eSIM
- the data allowance suits your trip
- the validity period is correct
- you have read any plan-specific notes
How are prices calculated?
All SimToRoam plans are priced in GBP (British Pounds). Prices shown in other currencies are converted automatically for convenience.
Exchange rates are updated daily using reference rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB). Because prices are organised into pricing bands, small currency movements may occasionally result in a slightly larger change when converted to another currency.
The final price is always shown clearly before payment is completed during checkout.
What will I be charged at checkout?
The price displayed on the product page is the price you will pay at checkout, unless you apply a discount code or promotion.
SimToRoam plans are priced in GBP. If you view prices in another currency, the amount shown is an estimated conversion based on current exchange rates.
Your payment provider may convert the payment to your local currency depending on your bank or card settings.
Need More Help?
